The treatment is made from a blend of ingredients that target your detoxifying organs.
The plan – which contains glycerol, citric acid, selenium and peppermint oil – claims to help flush away toxins from your body and help protect against free radicals; negatively charged ions caused by pollution, poor diet and smoking.
What do you have to do?
Our volunteer had to take the contents

of one phial diluted in 1 litre of water and drink it throughout the day for five days. She also had to take one of the supplied vitamin tablets everyday
Do you have to stick to a strict diet?
There was no strict eating plan with suggestions for each meal, but the manufacturers recommend certain ‘nutritional and lifestyle’ changes to make the detox treatment more effective.
The accompanying guide suggests adopting a sensible eating plan based on drinking up to 3 pints of water per day, eating more fresh fruit and avoiding foods like red meat, cola and chocolate. Taking regular exercise was also recommended to assist the detoxing process.
How did it taste?
At first the treatment tasted pleasant and had a refreshing taste, rather like lemon barley water with a dash of peppermint. Unfortunately it left a rather bitter aftertaste which was slightly off putting.
When did you feel it started working?
I started to feel more energetic by around day three and even managed to avoid an office bug, which could be thanks to the high doses of vitamin C and E in the treatment.
Did you have any side effects?
I began to get unexpected spots around day three – which I hoped was the treatment eliminating toxins from my body.
What was the most unpleasant aspect?
Steering clear of caffeine and alcohol, and putting up with bad spots.
Do you feel it worked?
I felt it was a good introduction to detoxing the body and put me in a healthy frame of mind, but didn’t feel it produced any dramatic effects.
Would you do it again?
Yes, but I felt there should be more specific guidance on what to eat and what foods to avoid. I found I was relying too much on the treatment itself.
Would you recommend it?
Only if someone wanted to ease themselves into a gentle detox. But I feel a really effective detox needs a stricter diet plan.
